OFFICIAL AFL WOMEN & GIRLS CHARTERED CLUB

We’re thrilled to announce that Research Junior Football Club is now officially recognised as an AFL Women & Girls Chartered Club! This recognition is a huge milestone for our club and a testament to the incredible work being done to create a truly inclusive football environment for all.

At RJFC, we’re proud to offer a dedicated girls program that supports players from Under 9s through to Under 18s, as well as inclusive opportunities through our mixed teams in the younger age groups. No matter their skill level or experience, every girl has a place to grow, learn and love the game at Research.

Our newly redeveloped clubrooms feature some of the most female-friendly facilities in the region, including state-of-the-art change rooms designed specifically to support the growing participation of girls in junior footy. But we’re not stopping there—our club is also investing in coaching, programs and resources that help girls build confidence, develop their fitness and skills, and most importantly, have fun!

The Women & Girls Community Football Charter sets out clear principles of opportunity, visibility, access and investment, and we’re proud to align with these values in everything we do. Recognition under this charter also means Research JFC receives favourable consideration for AFL-based funding initiatives focused on women and girls in sport.

You’ll now find us listed as a Charter Club on both Play AFL and PlayHQ, helping families find the welcoming, inclusive environment they’re looking for in community sport.

A huge thank you to Ray White Eltham and Diamond Creek for your ongoing support of our Girls Program in 2025. Your partnership helps us continue to grow and strengthen pathways for young girls in our community.

Here’s to building confidence, skills and a lifelong love of the game—together. 💛
