SENIOR FOOTBALL PATHWAYS & AFFILIATIONS

We are proud of our long history of developing young players who move into Senior and Professional Level Football. Our Club is affiliated with Lower Plenty Football Club which provides opportunities for Senior Player Development.

Research Junior Football Club is proud to maintain a strong association with the Lower Plenty Bears Senior Football Club, based just down the road.

While both clubs operate independently, we work closely together to provide a clear and supportive pathway for players transitioning from Under 17s into senior football. This partnership ensures our players have continued access to high-quality coaching, community connection and opportunities to grow both on and off the field as they progress in their football journey.

Beyond club football, talented junior players may also be invited to represent the NFNL in the AFL Victoria Metro Junior Development Series, competing against the best from other metro leagues. These representative programs, along with opportunities to train with senior teams or NAB League clubs such as the Northern Knights, Calder Cannons or Eastern Ranges, give our players exposure to elite pathways and even potential AFL or AFLW careers.
